What is the Bermuda Triangle?

Simply it is a triangle connecting three famous locations: Florida, Puerto Rico and Bermuda. There have been many theories about it. Over 3000 ships and 100 planes have gone missing in it since the past 50 years. All of which haven’t even been noticed and have just disappeared. This triangle is also known as the “Devil’s Triangle” or “Hurricane Alley” because people believed that something abnormal has occurred in that location.

Theories

UFO’s

You’d be slightly amused by the theories that we came up with (I know I surely was). Like come on, it isn’t every day that you get abducted by a UFO in a specific location of the Earth!

Bermuda Triangle, it’s just 2 words!

Scientists claim that the Bermuda triangle isn’t even a mystery in the first place. They say that it’s purely human error and bad weather, not alien abduction or energy beams from the lost city of Atlantis. Which I believe!

The Lost City of Atlantis

Atlantis is a fictional island that sunk to the floors of the Atlantic ocean and it’s believed to be in the Bermuda Triangle. There have been conspiracies that there are numerous underwater creatures. The great Atlantean fire-crystals that once provided so much power and energy were found to be still existing. People thought the crystals acted as an energy source for the strong beams of light destroying the ships and planes.

Famous Incidents

SS-EL faro – Cargo Ship

Recently in October 1st 2015, a cargo ship called SS EL faro saw its end. The ship was a 790 ft vessel containing many vehicles and containers. It voyaged from Jacksonville, Florida bound to Puerto Rico but it had a surprise visit of a hurricane called Joaquin which was a category 3(measurement of the intensity of a hurricane)that was hovering over the Atlantic ocean in the Bermuda Triangle. Ever since the hurricane came near the ship, it was out of communication. Minutes later it seemed that the ocean became calm again and there was no extreme weather. Is someone controlling the sea? The search continued for weeks and it was finally spotted. It was positioned up-right and buried 15000 ft under the Atlantic ocean.

The U.S.S Cyclops (AC-4) – Fuel Ship

On March 4th 1918, this fuel ship loaded with 306 set sail to Baltimore but didn’t make it. Possibly because the mass of the ship was too much to handle so it sunk. No one sent any signals from the ship and it just disappeared from thin air.

Flight 19

Flight 19 was a codename for 5 avenger bomber planes that took off from Florida on December 5, 1945, at 2:10 p.m. They were on a training mission(which included students). One of the experienced pilots onboard was Taylor(the leader). A short way into the journey he reported to the control tower saying that he was experiencing a malfunction with the compass. So instead of heading towards East, he thought that they actually flew Southwards because of compass problems.

On a separate note – During the 1945s, pilots were bound to be aware of the direction of flight, speed, time of flight and starting point. If anything slightly deviated it would mean they were lost.

This mystery remains to be a mystery to date, funnily enough. However, there is a possibility that the minimal supply of fuel is the answer to their tragedy. They are known as the Lost Patrol. To find out more about this incident visit this website!

My opinion

I think it’s all an unnecessary argument and nothing but a human misconception or cases of extreme weather. For example, Flight 19 most likely stalled as there was low fuel supply. Although, it’s a debatable topic.

Bermuda triangle is only one of its kind. There are many more mysteries stationed around the Earth. What are these unknown locations? What do you think? Is the Bermuda Triangle a myth or real?
