The heart of England brings you to London, as you can unearth new experiences and explore a journey like no other. The Lumiere London festival dazzles the streets of London, where you can pass by more than 50 artworks of light. It is a magnificent experience with the glacial and exhilarating atmosphere of London. The unique designs and patterns of light stun you. The UK’s biggest light festival invites everyone; stretching through four cold nights as the festival drives you both north and south of the river Thames. The fun doesn’t stop with the lights, as you can also take a journey through the London underground with the seeming-less speedy trains.
DON’t travel by car!
As much as driving through the streets of London is very lively with the scenes of masses of people shoulder-to-shoulder, hence creating a surprisingly warm atmosphere; the choice of travelling by car isn’t a wise one considering that most of the roads are closed during the four incandescent days. Due to the inconveniences created by travelling in car, the easier decision is to take a tour around using the incredibly swift underground trains. The trains are very accessible however, millions of people travel everyday. Approximately 4.8 million people travel in all the 11 lines(in the underground) collectively everyday.

A sense of adventure?
The city brings paradise as you stroll past the unique, wonderful designs and patterns of lights. The 50 artworks of light lurk about everywhere in the city. The festival brings the feeling of adventure; you spend a prolonged amount of time traveling via trains to different corners of the city. I was extremely eager to visit all the different artworks as it gave me a sense of adventure which illuminates the night for me.
The Waterlicht
My personal favorite lighting artwork was the Waterlicht. Blue lights were projected above the ground(about 3 meters high), creating a vision like the Northern lights with blue rays moving in the form of a spiral. The sight was astounding as it was what had left the whole trip as a memorable one. The darkness fades by the presence of the luminous light being projected. Most of the time spent, was here, as it gave us hints to the Icelandic Northern lights…
Manage your time!
The wonderful day of light in the night had ended as we made our journey back home in the brisk trains of London. The lights have stunned us as we not only sighted UK’s largest light festival but also got the chance to give a glance through the electric city of London. The festival of Lumiere London really lit up the city and created joy in the dark winter nights. There is so much to explore in the enlightening city of London and I surely had a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (soo-per-ka-li-fra-je-lis-tik-ex-pee-a-ih-doe-shous) time!!!
