The Window – A Poem by Sid

, ,

The owl hooting,

The wolf howling,

The windows shutting,

And me prowling.

The sun setting,

The darkness rising,

Me sweating and the windows shutting.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

It sounded like a loud roar,

Coming closer and closer,

Maybe even the sound of a door!

SCREECH! SCREECH! SCREECH!

A clear sky,

Where no one can be heard,

But all there was, was the sound of cries.

DING! DONG! DING! DONG!

Getting louder and louder,

It sounded like a Flamingo,

But even as soft as powder,

When all it was, was the WINDOW!
