Visualisation
First, start by visualising yourself being in that position that you want to be in and write down an ideal day of how that may look in a diary. Just add bullet points or go in-depth but make sure you cover the full day. The power is visualisation is truly remarkable. It will take you leaps and bounds. So by doing this activity, you’re strengthening the skill of visualisation and you’re giving yourself clarity on why you are passionate about that thing in the first place.
Focus on one thing
Make a list of everything you need to do, step-by-step and start by focusing on one thing. Ask yourself what’s the one thing you can do to kickstart the project and only focus on that task. No multitasking. Just double down on that first task and do it at your best. Then work through the rest of the list in this manner.
Brainstorm
Get everything from your mind onto a piece of paper. You’re always thinking of so many things to do and so many goals and plans you have. Create documents digitally or write down on paper everything that your mind is thinking of, in a structural way. It will help free up space from your mind so that you can focus on that one thing you need to do.
10x rule
Write down what your real goal is, and then multiply the goal by 10 and set that as your target. Successful people seem to use this tactic almost always where they have a goal in mind and they push themselves to reach a goal that’s 10x their original goal. For example, if you want to get £10000 from your online course this year, 10x it so your new goal is £100000 and work according to the new goal. Your mindset and approach will change and even though you may not reach it, you’ll almost definitely cross the original goal that you had in mind.
Stop procrastinating
How? Well, first ask yourself what’s stopping you from doing that thing that you’ve constantly been put off. And cut off the roots from the ground up. You wanna watch that final episode before you do work? Often that one episode leads down a rabbit hole that blurs your vision of your goals and targets. So cut it off before you even go down that rabbit hole. Keep asking yourself questions like, if I did this, will I be contributing to my goals and will I reach them as I planned? And remember the visualisation technique? Use that here.
Gratitude
Whenever you feel upset or beaten up, journal your thoughts and build gratitude for the things you have. Remember that your life today, is for some, their dream life. So appreciate it in all the ways possible and move on with a positive spirit. Negativity is a dangerous pathway, so channelling that to positivity through gratitude is a great tactic.
